Os poucos e bons móveis são, ainda, possibilidades de empregar outras matérias-primas. A madeira pode ser utilizada em vários tons, podendo ainda ser maciça, de compensados ou com revestimentos que simulam a tonalidade e os veios característicos. O seu uso remete a aspectos naturais e rústicos, apropriados para todos os ambientes.
Alguns materiais, principalmente alumínio, diferentes tipos de laca, cobre e vidro, trazem brilho e remetem à modernidade. O interessante é combinar o uso desses elementos em pequenos itens e também em adornos maiores. Cadeiras de metal, mesas com tampos diferenciados e mesas de apoio em cobre são ótimos exemplos.
A História do minimalismo
O minimalismo vem sendo usado na arquitetura há bastante tempo, o movimento foi influenciado pelos estilos de arte vanguardista, e que ganhou força no final da Segunda Guerra Mundial. Teve forte presença em Nova York e Londres nos anos 70, principalmente em espaços de grandes grifes.
A origem também é incerta. O estilo seria a convergência da cultura japonesa, aspectos da cultura escandinava, traços do construtivismo russo e movimentos artísticos europeus, como o cubismo e o neoplasticismo, do início do século XX.
Um dos expoentes, o célebre arquiteto Ludwig Mies van der Rohe costumava dizer que “menos é mais”. Ele valorizou ao máximo as formas simples e o design refinado.
Com o tempo o minimalismo passou ser visto como um estilo de vida onde o que é importante é a simplicidade, mas sempre com requinte.
O estilo minimalista
A palavra sofisticação sempre estará atrelada à arquitetura minimalista, então o designer sempre será de alto padrão, e como principais características que podemos identificar nesse estilo estão alguns elementos que são mais valorizados:
Iluminação natural: o uso de grandes vãos a fim de obter o uso da iluminação natural.
Simplicidade: nesse aspecto, ambiente integrados, onde não é compartimentado a planta, tornam o espaço amplo e simples ao mesmo tempo
Estruturas limpas: você não vai ver em uma casa minimalista uma viga ou um pilar rebuscado, ou seja, que não tenha a sua forma geométrica bem definida, ou este pilar será cilíndrico, ou será retangular.
Seguindo essa linha da simplicidade, levando o minimalismo para dentro do ambiente, vamos notar que essa arquitetura valoriza ambientes com pouca ornamentação.
Valoriza-se espaços vazios, pode se dizer que é um ambiente que se parece com um museu. É claro que há decorações, mas são poucas e são com design diferenciado. É claro que você pode usar elementos que fazem parte da sua história, mas de maneira sutil.
